Western Digital My Passport Studio and My Passport for Mac Released

Western Digital is introducing two new external Hard Drive lines for Mac Computers this fall.  The MyPassport is the entry level external HD family for mac enthusiasts while the My Passport Studio Hard Drives offer more connectivity options.

The new Western Digital My Passport external Hard Drives for Mac are encased in a plastic enclosure with a single USB2.0 jack.  My Passport for Mac hard drives come in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB, 5200 RPM configurations.

The Western Digital My Passport Studio drives offer greater connectivity options with two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port.  The hard drive is encased in a robust all metal enclosure with password protection and encryption software.

Both drive families are fully compatible with Time Machine.
