Fujifilm Introduces Extreme Conditions XP100 and XP150 Waterproof Cameras

Fujifilm is poised to introduce 19 new cameras at CES 2012 including their new Rugged line of waterproof cameras.

With the iPhone and other smart phones cannibalizing the point and shoot camera market, one segment that continues to grow is the extreme conditions point and shoot camera.

Fujifilm’s new FinePix XP150 (with GSP) or FinePix  XP100 (no GPS) are waterproof down to 33ft (10m), shockproof to 6.5ft (2m) dust proof and freezeproof down to -10º C (14º F). The camera is housed in an all metal uni-body chassis and comes complete with a 14 Megapixel CMOS sensor an continuous shooting up to 10fps.  The FinePix XP150 and XP100 have 2.7” antiglare LCD displays which provide good viewing in bright sunlight and a 5x optical zoom wide angle (28mm – 140mm)  FUJINON lens.

MSRP on these new Fujifilm cameras is $279.95 for the XP150 and $249 for the XP100. Colors include Black, Silver, Blue and Orange .  Available March 2012
